From Stuart to Jones
After a lovely 3 day stay at Prevost Harbour Captain Jeff decided it was time to move on.
It was decided that we would head to West Sound on Orcas Island, but on the way there, check in on Jones Island to see if there was space on the dock.
Jones is one of the nicest islands in the San Juans and there is hardly ever any space on the dock.
I was secretly hoping it would be full because the cell service was terrible last year which is a disaster for me, and I am also dying to try out my new Magnum e-bike, and biking is not possible on Jones.
Against all odds there was a space on the dock for us!!
Captain Jeff was thrilled!
It actually worked out great! The weather was great and we ended up getting in some nice hikes.
Jones Island has 4 miles of hiking trails and you are sure to see some deer while on the trails.
I was surprised we only saw 2 deer on this trip. The park ranger told us the deer population was reduced due to a virus last year.
Hopefully next year we will see whole deer families again!
Since the weather looked up I actually got to wear some of my new shorts. I must admit that I'm not a big shorts fan and had really sworn them off at my age. In the past few years I have just not been able to find shorts that were remotely flattering on me.
I was quite surprised at how well these shorts from Spanx fit me. I ordered the longer 6 inch length to have a bit more coverage and I think they are absolutely perfect for boating.
To shop these shorts just click here or on one of the pictures.
They are on sale right now too!
We are off to Westsound tomorrow and hopefully we'll get a nice bike ride in.
I'll be back on the blog in a few days.
love,
Renate
