The Road to Bloggerhood

Why don't you start a blog they said.

It will be so much fun they said…

Let me tell you a thing or 2 about technology in your 60's.
it is HARD!!
I thought it would be a good idea to recruit my millennial son to help me start this new endeavor and set up my website.
The nagging voice in the back of my head was telling me this was not the greatest idea but I chose to ignore it.
I knew there would be a lot of eye rolling and a lot of sighs of frustration but in the end it would all be worth it.
Right?

The first thing he asked me was, Mom, did you get a laptop?
No? Do I need one? Apparently I do,
Up until now I have been using my Iphone and Ipad and that is a stretch for me.
But, I now own an Macbook Air which I don't know how to use but that is apparently a "piece of cake".
Mom did you make a list?
No? Was I supposed to? What kind of list?
At this point I am already starting to feel overwhelmed, and really unsure of what I'm doing.

It almost seems my thought process has slowed down and I can't get my thoughts in order.
I need someone to hold my hand and tell me what to do. I can barely figure out the new features on the IG reels, let alone dealing with setting up a website.
What am I even thinking? Who is going to read my blog anyway? Who is going to care about what I have to say or wear?
But then I remembered how I felt the same way when I started my IG account almost 4 years ago.
Somehow 173k people do care about what I wear and tell me I inspire them to put effort into their daily outfits.
Over the past few years a lot of them have asked me if I would start a blog.
So here I am, 50 plus fashionblogger, ready for this new adventure.

I hope you join me.

Cheers,

Renate
