How to Wear a Tulle Skirt After 50

I am definitely NOT an expert, and it is certainly not for everyone, but when I saw the tulle skirts come into style, I was more than a little excited.

I am definitely not a girly girl (and I was also never a ballerina), but when I put on this skirt I certainly feel like one.

It's funny because I rarely wear a skirt at all.

There are so many ways to style a tulle skirt.

I  own a grey one that I love to wear with a white t-shirt and a leather moto jacket.

When I saw this really pretty soft beige one the other day in a consignment store, I was sold immediately.

It is a really nice neutral colour and I think it looks great with my chunky Irish knit sweater and chunky boots I got last year. In the spring I am going to wear it with ballet flats or sneakers.

The prices for these skirts are all over the place.

Personally I would not be spending a fortune on it since

they all look very similar to me, and they won't be in style forever.

I like my skirt to hit me right below the ankle and not right below the knee (not flattering for me).

But this is just personal preference.

Some people might think I'm kidding myself for thinking that I can get away with this at 62, but I think you should wear what makes you feel good.

I mean, if not now? When??

I linked some skirts and sweaters for you here.

Let me know what you think:-).

Happy shopping.

Love,

Renate
